St. Bartholomew Family and Friends,

We are blessed with 17 acres at the Academy of Saint Bartholomew, where we embrace a season of creation and innovation. This adds value, reflects our commitment to faith, our students, and their future possibilities.

Over the past two years, your generous donations have made a remarkable impact. Thanks to your continued support, we successfully completed Phases 1 and 2 of our Discovery, Innovation, and Performing Arts renovations.

The first and second floors have been transformed with new flooring and freshly painted walls, bringing renewed energy to our learning spaces.

In addition, we were awarded a state safety grant, which allowed us to:

• Install safety film on all exterior windows and classroom doors

• Upgrade our PA system for clearer, more effective communication

With these physical and safety improvements came exciting enhancements to our academic programs. Students now have the opportunity to explore electives such as:

• Web design

• Video editing

• Family and consumer sciences

• Foreign language options

• Advanced Placement (AP) in math and language arts

None of this would have been possible without the vision, creativity, and generosity of our parish and school community. Because of you, we continue to grow—not just in our facilities, but in the learning opportunities we provide our students.

Phase 3 – Building a Stronger Foundation

Phase 3 of our campus improvement project will focus on enhancing the lower level of the building, which houses essential spaces including our library, tech lab, music and art rooms, and cafeteria. These areas play a vital role in the daily life and development of our students.

If generosity allows, we also hope to include fresh paint in the stairwells, along with new carpet, updated paint colors, and a new scan lock system on the doors in the main office —important upgrades that will further improve safety, accessibility, and administrative efficiency.

Who We Are

Our building opened it's doors in 1957, serving as both church and school. The Academy of Saint Bartholomew promotes faith in God, belief in self, and goodness towards others. As a Catholic school, our teachings are rooted in the gospels while aligning with state and diocesan curriculum standards. We are a fully accredited PreK-8 school with dedicated and enthusiastic staff who celebrate the growth and success of each student. 

Recognizing that every child is a unique and wonderful gift from God, our staff also recognizes that each student has his/her own learning style. Our instruction and educational supports meet the students where they are and we help guide them to their potential. We work with local public districts along with state and federal agencies to provide resources for academic intervention and enrichment. 

Embracing Ohio as a School Choice state, we are a provider for the EdChoice, EdChoice Expansion, Cleveland, Jon Peterson and Autism State Scholarship programs. In addition, we accompany families in seeking other funding sources to ensure that Catholic education is available and affordable to every student through parish scholarships, the Angel Scholarship Fund, and other private donations. 

Thanks to your generosity from previous #WeGIVECATHOLIC campaigns we were able to install the floor in our Gym/Saunders Hall and renovate the 1st and 2nd floors of the school building. You can once again make a difference in the lives of our parish children.
