St. Bartholomew Family and Friends,

We are blessed with 17 acres of God's creation on our Middleburg Heights campus. And now begins a season of creation within our walls at the Academy of Saint Bartholomew. 

Innovation is the process of creating something new and creative which adds value.  We value our faith, our students and the future possibilities of each learner at the Academy of Saint Bartholomew. 

Our innovative transformation will begin in the junior high wing as we align academic offerings with classroom resources. Students will have opportunities to participate in electives such as robotics, 2D art, theatre, culinary arts and environmental sciences in addition to advanced courses in math and language arts.

Phase 2 of our Discovery, Innovation and Performing Arts renovations will include kindergarten through fourth grade and our performing arts learning spaces.

Who We Are

Our building opened it's doors in 1957 serving as both church and school. The parish community, dedicated to their faith, began groundbreaking for the existing church in 1959.  Years later, thanks to the generosity of supporters, an addition was built in 2002 to house Kindergarten and first grade along with new administrative offices; a welcoming new entry point for the Academy of Saint Bartholomew. 

The Academy of Saint Bartholomew promotes faith in God, belief in self, and goodness towards others. As a Catholic school, our teachings are rooted in the gospels while aligning with state and diocesan curriculum standards. We are a fully accredited PreK-8 school with dedicated and enthusiastic staff who celebrate the growth and success of each student. 

Recognizing that every child is a unique and wonderful gift from God, our staff also recognizes that each student has his/her own learning style. Our instruction and educational supports meet the students where they are and we help guide them to their potential. We work with local public districts along with state and federal agencies to provide resources for academic intervention and enrichment. 

Embracing Ohio as a School Choice state, we accept EdChoice, EdChoice Expansion, Cleveland, and Jon Peterson state scholarships. In addition, we accompany families in seeking other funding sources to ensure that Catholic education is available and affordable to every student. 

So often, we hear from alumni who share fond memories of their school days at St. Bartholomew. Those memories still hold laughter and joy many years later. It has been over 20 years since updates were made to our new addition and 'way too long' for updates to the original building and learning spaces. Be part of our effort to continue making memories with our current and future students for many years to come. 

Thanks to your generosity from previous #WeGIVECATHOLIC campaigns we were able to install the floor in our Gym/Saunders Hall. You can once again make a difference in the lives of our parish children.
