In response to the Pope's Year of Mercy in 2016, we instituted a food shelf to "feed the hungry." The food shelf has been supported by donations and has never been empty since the day it was placed in our lobby. We require no proof of residency or income - we only ask that our neighbors take what they need. They are welcome anytime the office is open. We have young moms, elderly individuals, and people recovering from illness or surgery who need just a little help to get by. We have seen a significant increase in need since Spring 2020.  Many people explain to us that they lack transportation to get to the larger food pantries in the community - or can't get there during the limited hours they are open.  In addition, since the beginning of the pandemic, we have seen an increase in young families visiting our food shelf.   Because of this need we now stock diapers and diaper wipes to assist these families.

Funds raised will be used to fill our food shelf in 2025.
