Catholic Charities St. Martin de Porres Family Center

Catholic Charities, St. Martin de Porres Family Center was founded in 1967 as an information and referral center housed in a storefront located on East 105th Street in the Glenville Community. We serve more than 2,000 families annually from this Center which is in the heart of the community.

We provide many programs and services that include Community Based Services for At-Risk Families (CBS), Bright Beginnings, Help Me Grow, After School and Summer Day Camp Programming, Teen Leadership Programming, Senior & Adult Services, Emergency Assistance including a monthly Choice Food Pantry Distribution, Birth Certificate and ID vouchers, Catholic Charities Community Based Family Mental Health Services, and quarterly Shoes and Clothes for Kids distributions. Community Based Services for At-Risk Families also provides Effective Black Parenting and Waiting to Exhale Respite Services.

Our highlighted cause this year is our Community Based Services for At-Risk Families (CBS) program. Our goal is to raise $5,000.00 for Emergency Assistance essential items like diapers, formula, baby gates, personal hygiene items, children’s winter coats, hats, gloves, children’s undergarments, and supplies for family visitations that we host.

Brianna has worked with the Community Based Services program for the last 4 years. She is a 28-year-old single mother of 7 children. She shared, "I can always use an extra hand with basic necessities for my kids. It will be a blessing to raise funds for the Community Based Services program and to help St. Martin de Porres families. Thank you."

Contributions received will be used for services in 2025.
