The Christ Child Society of Akron is an all volunteer organization dedicated to serving the needs of the children of Akron, Ohio. We work in partnership with other organizations and agencies to give love and support to children lacking the basic necessities of life. Christ Child's over 250 volunteer members come from various faith traditions and walks of life, but know that all children deserve dignity if their lives are to have purpose and meaning.
Last year we provided over 2,000 clothing orders to students in need of uniforms and winter wear, almost 300 layettes for newborns in need, many hours of literacy tutoring, and offered over 200 handmade burial clothing items for families who lost an infant.
