We in the Diocesan Vocation Office recognize that many of our young men and women in the diocese are being called to vocations at this very time and it is our role to accompany them and those that support them within their parishes, schools, and families.
We ask for your support today to aid those seeking clarity about their vocation, to help promote the priestly and consecrated vocations to thousands within our schools and parishes, and to support the cultivation of good news surrounding these fruitful ways of life and service. Your donation today will go to support the various outreaches of the Vocation Office such as but not limited to:
-
R&R (Receive & Remain) - Many priests and religious cite Eucharistic Adoration as having a significant impact on their vocation. With this in mind we open the seminary and welcome guests into the Eucharistic presence of Jesus. The evening consists of Eucharistic Adoration, Confession, Mass with the seminary community, and a social.
-
Come and See at the Seminary - a weekend where men can experience life at Borromeo and Saint Mary Seminaries.
-
Discovery Days - A day for 7th and 8th graders to learn about the vocational call to holiness and various vocations, tour the seminaries, attend Mass with the seminary community, and meet and hear the testimonies of seminarians and religious women and men from the diocese.
-
Men's & Women's Discernment Groups - Our office supports high school men's & women's discernment groups throughout the diocese.
-
Priest vs. Seminarian Basketball Game - A time for the diocese to come together to cheer on our priests and seminarians as they face off in this annual basketball game.
-
Video Series on Discernment and Vocations - The Vocation Office tries to create solid content for discerners and their families. We are continually brainstorming new ideas to aid discerners. Past projects include:
-
Go Forth as Christ Has Called You - a video highlighting the beauty of ordination.
-
Create & Called - a discernment 101 series.
-
Discernment & the Family - a series on how families can support vocations.
Thank you for your support!
