Incarnate Word Academy is the sponsored ministry of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word. As a community of learners filled with the Spirit of the Word-Made-Flesh, we are committed to living Gospel values and inspiring academic excellence.

Our theme for the 2024 IWA Day of Giving is Give Today, Shape Tomorrow! We have made incredible strides over the last year in shaping the future of IWA. This year, we are asking the IWA Community to help make an impact that will echo into the future.

Your Impact

Last year, you helped us raise over $60,000 for the IWA Fund and capital improvements like the new innovation center. 

In 2023, the Sisters generously donated space on the 2nd floor to the school. Part of that space has become the recently completed Innovation Center, which allows our students to take any project they can imagine from concept to reality. This state-of-the-art design space is being utilized by all of the students in Kinder Prep through Grade 8. Our students have loved the Innovation Center since they were first able to begin using it for projects in mid-October. 

Although construction is complete, your support this year will help us fill the Innovation Center with all the technology, tools, and materials our students need. 

Who We Are

Founded in 1935, Incarnate Word Academy is a Premier Independent Catholic School serving a diverse group of young learners from Preschool to 8th grade. The Sisters of the Incarnate Word built this school with a commitment to delivering a superior education in an environment rooted in faith with the highest ethical values and conduct. Nationally recognized, IWA has grown to become a Model of Educational Excellence. We strive to inspire and support each student to achieve academic and personal success through advanced classes, enriching clubs and team athletics. Our students learn to think for themselves, practice their faith, exercise responsibility and become leaders in a safe, dynamic environment. They commit themselves to their classes and develop a strong work ethic, which prepares them for the next stage of their academic life. With our strong community of families, faculty, staff and Sisters, we guide our students to engage the world with faith, compassion, courage and commitment. Our goal is for our students to become life-long learners, reach their fullest potential, be prepared for the future and be engaged members of our Catholic community and world.

The IWA Classroom Challenge!

We are excited to announce the IWA Classroom Challenge! Each classroom has a page to raise money for the IWA Day of Giving and earn special prizes for their classrooms. As a part of our $65,000 goal, we hope to raise $39,000 from our homeroom challenge: that’s $100 for each IWA student! Parents, family members and friends should use their student’s classroom link to ensure their donation gets counted in the competition.
