Who We Are

The mission of Regina Health Center is to provide compassionate and holistic health care services primarily for members of religious communities, clergy, and for other persons needing supportive services or residential nursing care. Established in 1993, it is a collaborative ministry sponsored by the Sisters of Charity Health System. Your support is a primary source of income for Regina Health Center as funds are raised to help bridge the widening gap between actual health care costs and Medicaid reimbursements.

Since the faith-based facility opened its doors more than two decades ago, only minor renovations to resident rooms and spaces were completed on an as-needed basis. Over twenty-five years later, Regina Health Center is committed to providing excellence in health care in a safe, comfortable, and peaceful environment that surrounds our residents with the dignity and respect that they deserve, through the generosity of people like you.

A total renovation of the resident living spaces has transformed the resident experience. Now completed, the $2.5 million renovation to Regina Health Center includes: updating resident rooms with new beds, dressers, window treatments, lighting, flooring and fresh paint; updating the dining rooms and common living areas with new tables, chairs, paint, lighting, and flooring; remodeling the expanded rehabilitation room and adding needed equipment. We are extremely grateful to the donors who have enabled us to get this far.

Regina Health Center is home for more than 150 individuals needing assisted living, skilled nursing or rehabilitation services, many of whom are aging members of 22 different congregations and the dioceses of Cleveland and Youngstown. Several of them were teachers, administrators, nurses and priests that you may have known when you were in school, none of which have a retirement savings plan. They would be honored to know that you haven't forgotten them in their time of need. Your gift will go directly to support our mission for their 5-star quality care, and perhaps more importantly, you will be remembered in their daily prayers.
