St. Joseph Parish School, Amherst

We all know that children can change the world, but sometimes they need a little help to do it! 

This year we are seeking donations to support all of the AMAZING STEM projects that are the vision and work of the students at St. Joseph Parish School! 

Our students dream BIG (which we love), but building prototypes, learning new techniques, exploring interests, and raising awareness in the world around us about important topics can get expensive! 

On this #GivingTuesday, please consider donating to St. Joseph Parish School where ALL of the money raised will go into a dedicated fund to purchase materials for current and future STEM projects, including:

-building materials

-subscriptions to design programs and resources

-books and research materials

-small scale supplies (i.e. cups, tape, markers, more tape (this is a big one), hot glue guns and glue sticks)

-large scale items- (i.e pieces of wood, 3D printer filament, poster printing paper, Vinyl cutting materials), 

-and more to help the dreams and solutions of our students become a reality! 

Who We Are

St. Joseph Parish School is a STEM designated school in the Diocese of Cleveland. It blends the traditions of a Catholic school with 21st century skills and learning experiences. The teachers and students are guided by a STEM model of curriculum, focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math on a daily and weekly basis. Students are taught about the engineering design cycle, growth mindset, Engineering Habits of Mind, and participate in STEM Lab each week. The school on a whole uses Problem-based Learning (PBL) to practice all of these things and solve authentic problems. The overall purpose of each of these areas is to raise disciples of Christ that are ready for the world that is waiting for them. Through this hands-on, rigorous educational approach, we can help each student realize the gifts that God has given them and guide them to use them to help the world around them.
