At St. Joseph Parish School, we are committed to nurturing minds and hearts rooted in faith, knowledge, and service. This year, through our We Give Catholic campaign, we are raising funds to enhance the technology available in our classrooms, tools that help our students grow, create, and learn more deeply.

Currently, our 54 kindergarten students share just 8 iPads, our 40 first graders share 8 iPads, and our 50 second graders share 18 Chromebooks that are several years old. Many of our teachers’ computers are also aging out and no longer support essential updates. In the year ahead, we also anticipate replacing Chromebooks for grades 4–8 as they reach the end of their lifespan.

While technology plays an important and meaningful role in our classrooms, we are intentional about how it is used. We believe that devices should support learning, not replace the rich, personal, faith-filled instruction that happens each day between teachers and students. Many of our curriculum programs include online components that deepen understanding and allow us to meet the needs of every learner. Ensuring that these tools are reliable and up to date is essential to providing the high-quality education our students deserve.

We have always worked to provide classroom devices without asking families to purchase their own, and this year is no exception. Your generosity during We Give Catholic will directly support our goal of equipping classrooms with the technology our teachers and students need to thrive.
