Saint Rita School

This year, Saint Rita School is continuing with our THREE-YEAR plan to modernize, beautify, and customize our school campus and buildings. This 3-year project totals more than $300,000. After completion of this three-year plan, Saint Rita School will celebrate 75 YEARS of quality, Catholic education (1949-2024) with a modern school campus for modern day students.

As we evolve, our school should, too.

 PHASE 1 (2022) UPDATE: IT'S  DONE! In the Summer of 2023, we replaced lights and installed new drop ceilings in Middle School classrooms; replaced flooring in Middle School classrooms; painted Middle School classrooms; updated the electrical grid in our Primary building. (Wiring in the 1940's and 50's wasn't made for copiers, scanners, POS, ActivPanels, laptops, Chromebooks, microwaves, and more. Our electrical grid needs a bit of a facelift!)

Now, onto Phase 2!

PHASE 2 (2023) MODERNIZE: Update landscaping at Middle School entrance; create new outdoor elements to personalize the campus including signage, awnings, lampposts, seating, and more.

PHASE 1: UPDATE THE CLASSROOMS. DONE!

Before: A classroom built for the 1950s. Old tile flooring and tile ceiling with limited florescent lighting and limited electrical outlets for ActivPanels and Chromebooks. 25 year-old desks and chairs. 

After: Today, Middle School classrooms are outfitted with new lights, ceilings, flooring, paint, and electrical grid. There's also new flexible seating options that meet the standards of a 21st century student.

Before: An area of grass surrounded by mature trees without any functional seating or purpose.

NOT ALL CLASSROOMS HAVE 4 WALLS

After: An outdoor classroom/amphitheater built to accommodate multiple classes and create additional space for learning, exploration, and parish functions.

Who We Are

Saint Rita School is a Blue Ribbon School in northeast Ohio. Since 1949, we have been providing exceptional education in a faith-filled environment. We proudly educate students in preschool through grade 8. Saint Rita School instills Catholic morals by developing the whole child to know, love, and live in faith while empowering our students academically, creatively, and emotionally to achieve success in the global community. 

In 2020 and 2021, Saint Rita School made huge improvements to our facilities, including a new state-of-the-art gymnasium, new permanent cafeteria, new permanent space in our Little Falcon Learning Center Preschool, and new STEM Lab.
