Celebrating the heroes.
2021 We Give Catholic fundraising efforts will be dedicated as a celebration of the heroes at St. Vincent Charity.
While this year has been marked by so much uncertainty, conflict, fear and turmoil across our community, we’ve watched the faithful and faith-filled heroes, caregivers and physicians at St. Vincent Charity Medical Center remain steadfast in their commitment to our community, to one another and to our mission.
The courage, resilience and selflessness these heroes have demonstrated during the past two years of the pandemic have been inspiring. People working on the frontlines of a global pandemic who continue to support their neighbors in need with warm meals, giving their stimulus checks to help furloughed colleagues and going above and beyond to ensure social distancing and masks don’t take away from the respect and dignity they bestow upon each patient.
The money raised through We Give Catholic will be used for a variety of initiatives focused on engaging and supporting St. Vincent Charity’s nurses, physicians, environmental services, office support, security staff, etc. – every. single. department.
These funds will allow for monthly engagement activities and will provide much needed financial assistance for employees through cafeteria food discounts and other programs meant to uplift and support their wellbeing.
If we reach our $100,000 goal, the hospital will install a permanent recognition of the heroes at St. Vincent Charity with the naming of the lobby or cafeteria within the medical center.
