St. Anselm School - Celebrating 60 Years of Academic Excellence

As we celebrate the amazing accomplishments of the past 60 years - it is more important than ever that we look towards the future. We need to provide our students with the best resources and opportunities possible to prepare them for their futures. Technology is woven into each day through the use of interactive whiteboards, iPads, Chromebooks, and desktop computers. These resources greatly enhance the educational experience of our Spartans. It is now time to take it a step further. 

How You Can Help

Our children need a space to step away. They need a space to let their creativity shine - a place to work, play, and pray together with others in a comfortable, modern, and fun space. The answer is the newest addition to our beautiful school - The Creativity and Collaboration Room "The CCR". The design is complete, and we are ready to begin the building, painting, and decorating portion of our room. The missing piece is you! With your help, we will be able to bring "The CCR" to fruition in 2024. Each dollar will be put to use directly purchasing supplies, seating, and resources for our new space. The more we raise, the more modern and useful we can make this space for our children. 

Our Current Progress

First, we would like to take this opportunity to once again thank each and every one of you who generously donated to our #WeGiveCatholic campaign last year. The room has a lot of progress so far. Initial demolition is complete. We were able to donate an entire truck full of books to the new Julie Billiart School opening in 2024 in Brecksville. Our gently used books gave them a huge start to their new library. Our Junior High students personally carried and loaded the books themselves. We also donated the bookshelves from the room to an organization that will put them to good use. Mrs. Rose met with our architect at the beginning of November to make final changes and arrangements to the design. 

Our Vision for a Creativity and Collaboration Space

The design has a stage for dramatic arts, a projector and space for classes, PSR, and Youth Group to watch videos and movies together, seating spaces for groups to work together on projects, and relaxation spaces. We are so excited to create this space and have the children of our parish and school start enjoying "The CCR."

60th Anniversary Donation Levels - On this 60th Anniversary of our school, we are challenging our community and friends to special levels of giving in honor of each year in our 60 year legacy.

Spartan - $60 ($1 to honor each of our 60 years)

Bronze Spartan - $120 ($2 to honor each of our 60 years)

Silver Spartan - $180 ($3 to honor each of our 60 years)

Gold Spartan - $240 ($4 to honor each of our 60 years)

Diamond Spartan - $300 ($5 to honor each of our 60 years)

Prizes for Our Students - In the spirit of community building, our school students will receive prizes as a school for each of the following donation levels we reach:

$1,000 - Each class will get an extra recess

$2,500 - The whole school will get a day to wear crazy socks and hats to school

$5,000 - The whole school will get a dress down day

$7,500 - The whole school will get a week of dress down days

$10,000 - The whole school will get a popsicle party

$15,000 - The whole school will get a movie and popcorn party

$20,000 - The whole school will get a pizza party

$25,000 - Great Lakes Science Center Visit to St. Anselm for an exciting all school assembly!
