WeGiveCatholic 2025: Strengthening the Roofs That Shelter Our Mission

At St. Luke Parish, our buildings do more than hold bricks and beams—they cradle the liturgy, ministry, formation, and fellowship that define our shared life. This Giving Tuesday, we are calling the parish community to help preserve the roofs that safeguard our church, our school building - that houses many of our ministry activities, and our gym.

Infrastructure isn’t glamorous, but it is essential. When the roof is sound, the mission beneath it can flourish. When it fails, every ministry—from sacramental preparation to community outreach—feels the strain. That’s why this year’s campaign is oriented toward long-term resilience, stewardship, and care for the spaces that carry our daily work.

The Goal: $50,000 to Protect Our Parish for the Future

Gym Roof Coating and Repairs

The gym is a powerhouse for our parish—hosting CYO practices, Young Adult Volleyball, Adult Basketball, our St. Patrick's Day Party, and other events. The roof is showing its age and needs a full coating project to extend its life and prevent far more costly issues down the road. This investment is proactive, not reactive—a smart strategic move that protects mission-critical space for years to come.

Church Roof Repairs

While the slate sections of the church roof remain intact, several non-slate areas require attention. These repairs ensure that the heart of our parish—the worship space where we pray, celebrate the sacraments, and gather as the Body of Christ—remains structurally secure and protected from water infiltration.

School Building Roof Touch-Ups

Minor repairs across the school building roof will safeguard classrooms, meeting spaces, and ministries that support formation and community life each week. These adjustments prevent small problems from becoming major failures.
