Who We Are

Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Avon is rooted in faith, tradition, and has a rich history, with the first church being built in 1848 and the parish school running continuously since 1885. Saint Mary’s is more than a church or a school—it’s a community. This year, the community can come together to help raise important funds that will improve the safety of those who come to worship, learn or just visit.

For 2024, we hope to raise $100,000 through our We Give Catholic campaign on Giving Tuesday. We’re hoping to raise enough money to further renovate our cafeteria/community hall. The funds we raise will be used to install new HVAC that will provide year-round heating or air conditioning and improve the circulation. Additionally, we intend to install a drop-down ceiling and sound-proofing to make the space usable for all sorts of school, PSR, Church and community activities throughout the year.

Our parish does so much for everyone it touches, and none of it would be possible without the support from those in our community. So many people give their time volunteering, whether it’s to coach a CYO team, to lector or sing at mass, or to volunteer at the school, each contribution is vitally important.

Our teachers in both the day-school and PSR are dedicated to providing a loving and Christ-centered environment for our kids to grow in our faith. Our priests and parish staff work tirelessly to provide for our spiritual growth both during and outside of Sunday mass. As one parish community, we pray together, worship together, learn together, and grow together. And this year, we hope to give together.
