Who We Are

Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Avon is rooted in faith, tradition, and has a rich history, with the first church being built in 1848 and the parish school running continuously since 1885. Saint Mary’s is more than a church or a school—it’s a community. This year, the community can come together to help raise important funds that will improve the safety of those who come to worship, learn or just visit.

For 2025, we hope to raise at least $60,000 through our We Give Catholic campaign on Giving Tuesday to renovate the antiquated restroom facilities in the main school building and cafeteria. The funds we raise will be used to install entirely new fixtures to plumbing and ventilation. Additionally, we intend to make the facilities suitable for youngsters by putting in child-friendly fixtures like touchless faucets and lower-height sinks, toilet seats, and hand-drying stations.

Our parish and school means so much to the people of Avon—and none of it would be possible without the support from those in our community. So many people give their time volunteering, whether it’s to coach a CYO team, to lector or sing at mass, or to volunteer at the school, each contribution is vitally important. Our teachers in both the day-school and PSR are dedicated to providing a loving and Christ-centered environment for our kids to grow in our faith. Our priests and parish staff work tirelessly to provide for our spiritual growth both during and outside of Sunday mass. As one parish community, we pray together, worship together, learn together, and grow together. And this year, we hope to give together.
