St. Vincent-St. Mary High School

Dear St. Vincent-St. Mary High School Supporters- 

I love the focus on charitable giving on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Like many parents, I struggle with the commercialism of the Christmas season. As Catholics, we know that the true meaning of the season feels lost in an abundance of consumerism. What do my kids need? Very little. My family is, and always has been, blessed with enough.

When #weGiveCatholic became a focus of Giving Tuesday, I was 100% on board. I would rather give the money I have saved for Christmas presents to worthwhile causes than waste it on meaningless stuff. But how does one decide what organizations are worthy of our financial gifts? The answer for me is who is making a difference in the lives of families, and by extension, our society. And that is why I am so grateful for Catholic schools. 

I ask that you prayerfully consider supporting St. Vincent-St. Mary High School on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 for #weGiveCatholic. I can spend time talking about why your financial support is necessary for STVM to operate, but most importantly, it is the difference you will make in the lives of the students who walk through our building each day. 

How is St. Vincent-St. Mary doing transformative work and making a difference?

As Aiden VM23 said, “The reason I love STVM so much is the family atmosphere. One thing I realized when going to a different school is how alone I felt. When I came here, I realized that there are people who care about me. I have friends I can always hang out with and many adults that truly know what I am talking about and that I can also genuinely talk to.”
