Who We Are
The mission of Malachi Center is to empower the individual, nurture the family and build the community. Malachi Center was founded in 1985 to extend the outreach of the 140-year-old St. Malachi Parish through formal programs and services. Today, Malachi Center is a non-profit organization serving those dealing with socio - economic, structural, and trauma based barriers to economic, academic, and interpersonal success. Malachi Center’s value and strength in the near west-side community is rooted in the network of relationships built with a diverse array of residents, partners and stakeholders. Of these relationships, none is more important than that of the relationship with our participants. This relationship is built on trust that the Center is a place of stability, direction and connection.

This year we are raising funds to help support our After-School Activity Program, which features Open Activities on Tuesdays & Fridays; and Homework Helpers on Wednesday & Thursday. Malachi Center kids can participate in the many educational, cultural, and outdoor activities and experiences that we provide, through this program. Your help supporting us is greatly appreciated!
We are located within sight of the intersection of West 25th St. and Detroit Avenue, behind St. Malachi Church.
The services the Center offers are made possible by the generosity of loyal donors, and the hard work of many volunteers.
