The Culture Project International

A nonprofit organization

A sext on a whim. An eating disorder that escalates into a hospital visit. A hookup with someone who is not even lunch date material. A secret abortion to save a college career. A sex addiction to escape the emptiness of every day life. The need is urgent! Today, more than ever, young people long to know there is more to the human story. In any given community, we don't have to look far to find young people suffering the effects of one deep, underlying problem: we don't know who we are and what we're made for. Having tried our culture and found it wanting, young men and women are beginning to stand up against the throw-away culture that views the human person as dispensable. Today, young people are rising up to uphold the dignity and potential of every human person, especially in regard to our sexuality. This is the mission of The Culture Project.

The Culture Project is an initiative of passionate young adults set out to restore a culture that upholds the dignity of human life and embraces virtue. We live in a culture where eating disorders, self-harm, abortion, pornography addictions, sexting, hook-ups, cyberbullying, suicide, and other violations of human dignity are on the rise. Youth are drowning in negative voices and behaviors that our culture has normalized. The Culture Project is the other voice. It operates by recruiting and training exceptional young adults (recent college graduates) to be missionaries to youth, particularly middle school and high school students (grades 6-12). Since its inception in 2014, it has encountered over 241,360 youth in nearly 1,300 schools and parishes. Partnering with Catholic Diocese across the country, Culture Project missionaries act as mentors and much needed role models. They seek to journey with other young people, empowering them to understand their self-worth, be courageous in their relationships, and lead lives of greatness. Each missionary, through their own personal witness, exemplifies that a life of virtue is fulfilling and freeing. As Pope Francis has pointed out, “Do you know what the best tool is for evangelizing the young? Another young person.” Short Videos: 1) The Culture Project in Cleveland 2) The Need Promo Video 3) Missionary Krista Testimony 4) Missionary Joel

"Thank you so much for speaking in my class today! As a youth group girl I’ve heard so many talks about chastity and living in virtue. Never have I been so inspired as I was by you today. While I have never struggled or had the opportunity to struggle with chastity in a romantic situation, I realized my desire to be liked and serve myself was affecting how I treat my friends. I realized I could love them so much more and give myself as an even greater gift to them. Thank you for encouraging me to live out sacrificial love and aspire for more. Today is the first time I noticed some of my “secular” friends be impacted by a chastity talk. I truly believed you planted seeds in their hearts that challenge their trust in our culture." - High School Student
