Our 2025 #weGiveCatholic Giving Day Goals
$100,000 for our Mission - Matched to $200,000! 

This year, we’ve set our most ambitious goal yet for #weGiveCatholic: to raise $100,000 in support of the Sister Helen T. Scasny, SC Benevolent Fund. Thanks to an unprecedented matching gift from Mary Ann Kaminski, in loving memory of her husband Deacon Robert Kaminski, every dollar you give will be matched, unlocking $200,000 to care for residents who have outlived their financial resources.

You can make your gift in several ways:

1. Mail in a check or cash before December 2 to Light of Hearts Villa. 
2. Make a gift of stock or an IRA distribution to maximize your tax benefits while supporting our residents.
3. On Giving Tuesday, December 2, make your gift online right here at our #weGiveCatholic giving page. 

Last year, we placed 2nd out of 54 Catholic nonprofits—and this year, we’re aiming for the top spot. The Early Giving phase officially opens November 22, and the leaderboard goes live on Giving Tuesday, December 2—but there’s no need to wait. Why this fundraising initiative is crucial:

The Sister Helen T. Scasny, SC Benevolent Fund is a lifeline for residents who have exhausted their financial resources. With 52% of our residents currently on Medicaid, which does not cover the full cost of care, we faced a shortfall of over $500,000 in 2024—a gap we must bridge through community support.

And with significant changes to Medicaid on the horizon, the challenges we face in continuing to provide this level of care will only grow. That’s why this year’s #weGiveCatholic effort is more crucial than ever.
